With the Easter holidays fast approaching here’s some of the best places to hunt for Easter eggs across the UK.
Powis Castle, Wales
Visit the gardens of Powis Castle in Powys during the Easter weekend and you can join the hunt for Cadbury’s chocolate in the grounds.
Kew Gardens, London
Kew Gardens in London are holding a special Shaun the Sheep Easter event, complete with fun events like welly wanging and a Divine chocolate Easter egg hunt. Collect the tokens hidden around the gardens to claim your chocolate egg.
Peter Rabbit Egg Hunt, Lake District
This is an Easter egg hunt with a difference. Fifty ceramic eggs will be hidden across the Lake District, with clues released on Google maps online. Those who find them will be able to claim entry into The World of Beatrix Potter, collect a prize and get to keep the collector’s-edition eggs.
Traquair, Scotland
Scotland’s oldest inhabited house, Traquair, holds an annual Easter egg hunt in its hedge maze. Over 5,500 mini eggs will be hidden amongst the maze and there’s also a selection of larger eggs to be found. As well as the Easter egg hunt, there’s lots of activities for all the family to enjoy, including egg decorating, Easter bonnet making and entertainers.
