If you’ve got teenage children, you’re probably familiar with the thrills, spills and enormous rollercoasters of some of the UK’s biggest theme parks. However, if you’re the parent of a younger child, it can be a little more difficult to find a park with rides suited to their age group. Our guide to theme parks for younger children will give you all of the inspiration you need to organise a fun filled day out for your little ones – your only problem will be deciding which one to visit first!
Gullivers Family Theme Park
There are three Gullivers theme parks across the country, in Warrington, Matlock Bath, and Milton Keynes, so wherever you are located you shouldn’t have too far to travel. Each park has upwards of 70 rides, all aimed at families with children aged 2-13 years, as well as daily performances ranging from cheerleading to puppet shows!
Paultons Family Theme Park
Paultons is just off the M27, close to the edge of the New Forest National Park. The site is packed with fun, family friendly rides and attractions, including log flumes, go-karts and of course, classic tea cups. Paultons is also home to Peppa Pig World, so it’s a must visit if your little ones are fans of the show.
Legoland Windsor
Legoland in Windsor has more than 50 interactive rides, plus a mini driving school, building workshops, and Miniland, an incredible model world constructed entirely from Lego. Set your imagination free with 4D shows or putt your way through a round of mini golf – no matter how you choose to spend your day, you’ll all have a fantastic time!
